Thank you for your interest in joining the team! Miles Ahead Racing Kennel has the passion, commitment, and training aspects down; however, your moral and financial support are always appreciated. There are several ways to be involved with keeping the team ready for the miles ahead on the trail .
You can be part of the team by liking and sharing our facebook page, making plans to come and see us at races and other events, and with your finanical sponsorship. Here is what you will recieve for your support:
Everyone who "likes, follows, and shares" the Facebook page, will be entered into a year end drawing to recieve a gift box filled with kennel and mushing treasures;
Everyone who submits (and grants approval for usage of) a photo of Miles Ahead Racing Kennel team, the dogs and/or humans, in action will be entered into a year end drawing for a custom designed pair of musher mittens;
For those who wish to also support Miles Ahead with financial contributions:
Sponsorships of $100 will recieve a beautiful calendar that captures life from the kennel and the trail - a thank you for your support;
For every $500 sponsorship you will recieve - the kennel calendar and (2) kennel t-shirts - a thank you for your support;
Please contact the kennel directly for major sponsorship opportunities as they are happy to tailor a package to suit what you are looking for.
Whether you wish to support the dogs everyday needs or something more specific, every sponsorship is appreciated. Here are ways your support will be used:
Everyday Items
Feed the kennel for a week- $275
Straw for the winter- $400
Vaccines (for dogs)- $600
Misc (snaps, dishes, collars, etc.)- $200 per month
Race Items- Per race
Usually the team has 3 big races a year. Costs below are approximate per race.
Race entry fee- $400
Booties- $400
Fuel (gas and snacks- for dogs and humans!)- $600
Kennel Wish List
Dog Coats- $400
Harnesses- $400
Parka for musher- $600
New sled- $2000-$3000
